Been coming here for many years, for parties, business and personal dinners, but this last visit was disappointing. Several food items arrived cold or overcooked. The waiter forgot to bring an item we ordered and it wasn't even acknowledged. For the prices paid, I don't believe the value warrants another visit. I will, however, note that the entire staff knew this was an anniversary celebration and that was a nice touch. Sorry to say I cannot recommend the Highlawn, at this time. It seems to have lost its luster as being one of the finest establishments in the area. Quality of food, service and overall value always outweigh location and ambience.
The dozen clams and dozen oysters on the half shell were on the verge of bad and should not have been served. After the appetizers, we waited at least 40 minutes for our entrees, which arrived cold. Such a shame-used to be a wonderful restaurant. Doubtful that we will return anytime soon.
I would give this restaurant 3 stars, mainly for the view which is the best part and doesn't cost anything. I usually choose to dine at Capital Grille for a more upscale experience and always leave completely satisfied.
The food at this restaurant was fantastic. We started with the mozzarella and crab cake meatball appetizers, which were all delicious. For dinner, we tried a variety of dishes including pasta and veal.

The dinner, drinks, and dessert at this restaurant were absolutely amazing! We started with a delicious rosé and grilled octopus. For our entrées, we enjoyed the salmon and scallops.
The food and service were excellent. The ambience and city views are fantastic. I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s always a great experience.
Entrees must have been premade banquet type . Came out immediately after ordering Applebees style served not hot but room temperature.
