Let’s talk about the biggest, baddest, tallest, most filling Chinese food takeout place you will ever knowwelcome to Hing Hing Kitchen, on Sunrise Hwy in Lindenhurst (across from Babylon Town Hall). If you order a small, you get a large. If you order a large, you get 2XL size. Everything is BIG! Egg rolls are the size of a man’s fist, combination platters feed 2 people. You know those paper boxes that are used to hold Chinese food? Hing Hing leaves the tops of the white boxes open, fills them to the new higher top then over fills it even more!!! And the food is delicious!!! Are you hungry, Hing Hing is calling youyou’re welcome!
The reviews were quite intriguing, to say the least. I stopped by on Friday night at 7 PM on 07/14/23. It felt like it was 100 degrees inside the restaurant, so I decided to order and wait outside. The place looked a bit shabby, but I went ahead and ordered the steamed dumplings and an egg roll. Both were significantly larger than what I've had elsewhere. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and taste of the dumplings. However, the egg roll, while also large, was mostly filled with cabbage. I would definitely consider stopping by again on my way home to try more items from the menu. The amount of food that others were taking out was quite impressive!
I'm not sure if the restaurant has changed owners, but the food tasted different and seemed to be of lower quality. The wonton soup used to have nice pieces of pork, but yesterday, it was filled with chewy bits and was overly salty. The wontons also looked different. The cream cheese rangoons appeared the same, but the filling was very watery. The rice and ribs were excessively salty as well. I've been coming to this place for over 20 years, and it seems like something has changed.

Overall, I enjoyed my takeout dinner experience. The food was delicious and earned a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The service was exceptional, receiving a perfect 5, which made the ordering process smooth and pleasant. The atmosphere, while not as impressive, is adequate, rating a 3 out of 5. All in all, a great value for the price!

I had the combination plate with beef and string beans, which was pretty good. However, the egg roll was quite disappointing—possibly the worst I've ever had, and I ended up tossing it out. I wouldn't recommend getting a combo like that. Instead, it's better to order your food separately and choose a different appetizer. The Chow Fun was decent, though.
