My aunt visited for her birthday weekend and requested some excellent fish. I remembered this restaurant from my time working in Baltimore and knew there was a location on Benning Road in DC. The atmosphere was friendly, although there were a few questionable characters around, but they ended up being cool. The staff were quick and polite, and the prices were fantastic. We ordered catfish fillets, chicken wings and drums, fu, and hush puppies, although the hush puppies tasted a bit undercooked, along with some banana pudding. Everything arrived just as I expected. I called the restaurant for some extra sauce, and they were happy to accommodate my request. I will definitely order from here again and recommend it to others as well. Thank you, hip hop family! Lol.
This small establishment may not have the most impressive location or appearance, but the staff works diligently to ensure that orders are completed promptly, and the food is well-prepared. The flavors are delightful!
I had my food delivered too a hotel and it was still piping hot. The fish was seasoned to perfection and the hot sauce and tartar sauce very well also. I highly recommend the fish plate and the Half Half.

The fries were hard and overcooked, and the breading on the catfish didn't stick at all. The other location in Maryland is definitely better.
The parking lot has potholes and trash, so you know the food is and the gentleman working inside is very fast getting customers in and out.
The shrimp Jumbo Shrimp was very good. Fish Chicken Combo was not so good. Catfish wasn apos;t hot and the wings were very very small.
Don't spend your time or money here. Management could not even bother to offer restrooms for their customers.
