What a delightful surprise to enjoy perfectly crispy fried catfish—it was absolutely fantastic! We decided to try the jalapeño poppers and eggplant, and we were pleasantly surprised! The hush puppies were a bit on the salty side, but we still finished them all! The banana pudding and the small pecan pie were decent, but nothing extraordinary. I think we’ve found our new favorite spot for fried fish! Thank you for impressing some discerning old ladies who know their way around the kitchen!
This place is turning out to be my favorite for delivery of Soul Food! I havent tried everything on the menu, but what I HAVE tried has been delicious! The Perch fillet, greens, potato salad and hush puppies were divine! Even though Im not into spicy foods, the greens were so tasty I didnt mind the heat, and my hat is off to whomever made that hushpuppy batter! DANG! I WILL be ordering from Hip Hop again and again and again and again!
Pleasant experience. The Food was Delicious. I called in my Whiting (comes with fries), Collards, and Hush Puppies. No wait when I got there. This my favorite location (Marlow Heights) and was saddened when they closed for renovation, nonetheless, to my surprise they were open today. Yayyyy me. Unfortunately, not all locations prepare the food well, so be mindful of that. Overall I recommend.
I hadn’t been to Hip Hop Fish Chicken in five years, but when I was in the area recently, I decided to try their catfish meal. It was incredibly hot and fresh, just like I remembered. The seasoning was perfect, and the meal was fantastic. I received three large pieces of fish along with a generous serving of fries. The portions were generous, and every penny spent was well worth it. Book a table now
I haven't been to Hip Hop Chicken in 5 years and just visited the area and decided to get the catfish meal. Oh my goodness it was hot and fresh... the seasoning is just as I remember. It was amazing. I got 3 big pieces of fish and so many fries. They didnot skimp on portion and the food was worth every penny.
Second time ordering here and this time, customer service was not that great. I ordered a 5 piece chicken dinner and when I got home, opened my box to only 4 wings. The Mac and cheese was delicious, the green beans were not. Won't visit this location again.
The food here is decent if you're craving something greasy. They serve generous portions, but the chicken and shrimp are nothing extraordinary. The service was quick. I would visit again if it's convenient.
The catfish was delicious and flavorful. The okra was good, but a bit mushy. The fried pickles may have been fried for too long as the breading fell apart. Book a table now
