We were travelling through Germany/Switzerland and needed to stop off for the night and stopped in Weil am Rhein. The kids were tired/grumpy and we had pre booked dinner at Hirschen. What a great choice! The staff were incredibly friendly and were able to guide...us through the menu in English. The portions were pretty huge, we had ordered starts and mains and were mostly full by the time we had the first course! However the main courses were so delicious we quickly finsihed them too. as already mentioned in my January review, the brains are a new star in the restaurant scene. Back to the regio for a family gathering and of course we decided to brains. wow, what a further remarkable culinary experience. eating was a taste explosion in her mouth. I had the carving under the walnut crust and it was amazing. super delicate and a taste combination that plays klavier on her palate. the same for the dessert. I chose the pumpkin parfait wow! I know I repeat myself, but I love the young and creative team and their inspiring interpretation directed by they thought they knew how they taste. they will definitely surprise them. on the culinary experience the service is fresh and yet...
The dinner was far exceeded our expectation! Very good food and excellent services.I had Veal with very nice mushroom cream which was good in quality and tast.I would highly recommended.My husband had a kind of tripycal German's dish named Rolladen which also very nice too.There...are good wein selections as well.We had a bottle of the local white wein which as excellent too.The price is also reasonable..All the staffs are young and very motivated..Worth to have a visit..... Last but not least...the Hirschen..has got a very nice garden but it is just too new.all plants are still not yet grown and flowers still not bloom...We can not wait till we can sit in the garden of the Hirschen....
When I heard that the owner of this restaurant is going to change and that there will be a renovation, I only thought, that hopefully the changes will not be too huge.So far I enjoyed every stay. No matter which season, the food was always fresh and of high quality. What I (and my entire family) liked very much was the high flexibility, the menue was more like a recommendation, what's possible. The size of the portion and/or the side dishes could be choosen according to our wishes.The atmosphere inside is like in Grandma's dining room and outside you could sit in a romantic garden with roses and perinnials.

beautiful addition to the restaurant scene in the region. refresh young team with a great customer service setting. I have there for a family midday with my brother family. the team was very friendly and made them welcome and appreciated. the food is delicious...and the portions are still generous. wein prices are something on the high side (swiss close), although they can find some nice local at a reasonable price. a clear 5* and definitiw one of my new places to go if in this region. thanks to the entire Hirschen team for a great experience.
Wonderful. My first impression was not so good. But waitress speaking english, beautiful decoration, warm people and simpatethic personal change my first impression. Food was one of the best of my life. No words for the deer. Beer winderful. The best!!!!
We stopped at the Hirschen for lunch and had wonderful meal. The staff was super friendly and the food was great as well! Looking forward to stopping by again on our next trip to the Haltingen area.
A top class restaurant, with exquisite cuisine, in a very nice renovated building. Best part though is the people and family running it. Very highly recommended.
