We booked here in advance whilst arranging our trip to Switzerland for a treat as we were arriving in Adelboden on our first wedding anniversary. It’s in a small chalet outside of town (opposite side of the valley to dorf), we got a taxi from town, which only took about 5-10mins, but was quite costly. It is a set menu, which was fine for us, but maybe tricky for some people depending on likes/dislikes etc. We had Canapés when we arrive, two starters, bread, fish course, palate cleanser (strawberry shot), black Angus beef main, cheese course and dessert. In the middle of nowhere is this amazing restaurant. It is run by a family serving excellent gourmet stuff. We had booked a table for 2. The chef himself came out to explain the set menu for the day. Such a personal touch. What also made it more personal and thoughtful was the fact that he made an effort to explain to us the menu in English (it seemed we were the only non German speaking customers). Environment was very cosy chalet style!!!! We picked a very nice bottle of wine and enjoyed the journey... Food was amazingly prepared, cooked and presented. Money well spent!!!!! The waitress who took care of us was very accommodating and super friendly. I highly (highly) recommend this restaura...

A wonderful place on the other side of the valley of Adelboden. High up on the hill side. Fixed menu, explained by Andy, the chef, and hand written on paper. Delicious. Small portions of local delicatessen. Swiss wines only. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, the wine and the atmosphere. Count a little over CHF 100 per person without wine. Lovely terrace in Summer. (Toilet outside)

This restaurant gets our highest ranking. The variability and novelty of the courses is excellent, the hosts are extremely friendly and introduce the menu to all their guests. All this at a more than fair price for the menu together with selected wines. Highest recommendation!
