The server was really helpful in assisting me with my choice, even suggesting a slight tweak to my tea order that turned out to be perfect! The mango green tea came with a bag of premium green tea, several slices of fresh mango, and a splash of coconut infusion that made me feel like I was on island time instead of in Long Beach! I also tried the avocado toast but swapped the softly cooked egg for bacon, which I preferred. It was topped with a generous amount of spicy arugula and a perfect kick from the spicy mayo. Delicious! I can't wait to go back for breakfast today!
Great local coffee shop! The service is usually good (have to give time for the new trainees to catch up). They can even accommodate when you have a dog and help bring your food outside if you order over the phone since pets aren't allowed. The lattes are good and I usually substitute with oat milk and add caramel. They're know for their tea so I plan to return and get one. Their breakfast is also delicious. They spread the cream cheese on bagels as well as half it for you. The bagel itself is always nice and soft. Good outside seating on a warm day.
I drive 300 miles a day for work and have stopped at my fair share of coffee shops around SD, LA, OC, and IE. Today I spent $10 on a dirty chai that was DISGUSTING. I had one sip. Easily the worst I've had (bean and tea leaf close 2nd). I let the staff know and the manager, Anna, said that since they made it properly they wouldn't be refunding anything. The other workers seemed to think it was made wrong, but Anna wouldn't budge. So here we are, letting everyone know Hoja's coffee and customer service are both garbage
I absolutely loved my experience here! As someone who studies herbal medicine, I was really impressed by the herbs they incorporated into their teas and coffees. I was especially excited to see the ingredients in the Masala Chai tea! Although I don’t drink coffee, my friend ordered a latte, and it was fantastic! I also appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and the openness of the baristas. Even though I don't live in the area, this place will definitely be a must-visit whenever I'm in town! Book a table now
We had a chance to try the Hojas Tea House during our recent trip to Los Angeles. Very conviently located near the Crowne Plaza hotel and just minutes away from the cruise port, this is a shop that serves standard coffee options but really specializes in tea. They had a very large selections of teas and also a very interesting list of breakfast, lunch and salad choices. Also have to compliment the very friendly staff. Worth a try if you're in the area.
It's a cool place. And I rarely give an assessment of less than 3 stars unless it's really bad. But I like this place. It's open late. The clientele is great. The staff is super dope! How great dope. But the only thing that gets me is that the bathroom is always out of order. For about weeks. This is a code violation. Also for food you can replace things. And the music gets a little loud. But different from that. It's cool. For San Pedro.
My drink tasted watered down and had no flavor. When I raised my concern, they refused to make me another one! They told me that the owner doesn't allow drink replacements, which is surprising—I’ve never encountered that before! Why should I be penalized because the staff can't prepare the drink correctly? I feel like I’m throwing my money away.
The chef's bagel sanwhich is the best! Fun little place on the harbor end of seventh Street for coffee and light breakfast affair.Parking: Only a few spots outside on the street that fill up fast but you can usually find a place within a block. Book a table now
Love their drinks and pastries I recommend the tarte pastry, vegan chocolate chip cookies, and cheesecake.I love their chef bagel and Avocado toast.
