My friends and I love Holy Basil Pho. Every time that we've been the place has been increasingly crowded, but nonetheless I wouldn't be surprised if a reservation is unnecessary. The food is delicious, our favorites include the basil lime wings and the garlic noodles with five spice pork. The portions are huge and you can easily split the dishes between 2 or 3 people. The servers/hosts are always courteous, although if it is a busy night you might have to flag down your waiter to get the bill. Regardless, due to the service, ambiance, food quality and portion sizes we have always ended up staying longer than we intended. With a doubt, Holy Basil Pho is our new favorite restaurant in the bay...

Food and presentation was outstanding at my first visit. It was memorable enough that we kept wanting to go back. Few months later, at our 2nd and 3rd visit, it has changed. The presentation of the appetizers became generic, sloppy. The food lacked care. There are so many Pho places. This place still stands out for its ambiance, its balanced selection of menu. It’s prompt and friendly service. I just hope they can maintain the quality of food overall.

I was hankering for pho, so we went to Holy Basil, the new pho restaurant on College Avenue. We went for an early Saturday dinner at 6, and the place was pretty empty except for a few families. The calamari and spring roll appetizers we had were delicious, and the Holy Basil combo pho I had was awesome. We will definitely come back to Holy Basil again, and now that it's on Caviar, we may have it even more. Book a table now
This is definitely a above average Vietnamese restaurant although menu is still somewhat limited. But very clean, unlike most other Vietnamese restaurants. Food is good quality and they give enough ingredients in the pho, again, unlike others who skim to save a few pennies. For dinner time, Sun is in the eye. They should put up a thicker screen.
holy basil is an unrealistic phobia. it was my way to take place while covid and they never disappointed. massive bowls of pho, incredibly fresh spring rolls and killer chicken wings. the broth here beats differently. highly recommended if they love pho.
Second time here. Soup was a bit watered down this time. Pork Rib was also very chewy and a bit tough. Somewhat disappointed at the service, unlike last time, maybe difference between weekend and weekday. But the restaurant was not busy so no excuse.
The service was wonderful and very helpful. The ambience is relaxing as tables aren't too close together and the restaurant is pretty quiet making conversation easy. The food is fabulous and the menu is quite extensive. Try it! Book a table now
My friends and I each ordered a dish and shared among us. The servers were attentive and our dishes arrived promptly. The food was delicious and the helpings were large. We ended up taking food home.
The vegetarian spring rolls were great and the portion for the large pho was huge! Shoutout Bryan for the awesome service too.
