Here’s a rewritten version of the restaurant review: 1. I ordered three different dishes from the menu. While the food was acceptable, it didn’t meet my expectations. The pav bhaji, which I’ve enjoyed at Honest locations in Gujarat, usually comes with a generous amount of butter and a rich mix of flavors. Unfortunately, the version I received was far from that enjoyable experience. 2. I received one fried chili with my two Vada Pav. When I requested an additional chili, I was informed that I would have to pay extra for another small fried chili. This was a new experience for me at a restaurant, and I couldn't help but wonder how much they would charge for just one fried chili—it seemed qui...

I have tried most of the Indian restaurants in LA area and this by far is the worst I have ever been to! Like I can't explain how bad the food was. They butcher Indian food like anything even after pricing is crazy high.We ordered paneer 65 , speical pav bhaji, cheese pulav .Paneer 65 was more like fried paneer on a bed of chill oil, sour cubes of paneer , overflowing oil. Nothing close to authentic of indo chinese.Pav bhaji is a joke here , bhaji was screaming diarrhea. It was so watery and unauthetic , the only special was the worn out cashews on top which I dont know how it is an add on.Chese pulav had a smell, it tasted stale , was served cold and had no taste Whatsoever.I wish they woul...
I visited the Honest location in Artesia expecting the same quality and atmosphere as the Frederick, MD branch, but I was very disappointed. The Medu-Vada were inedible—made only with Rava instead of traditional Urad dal, extremely oily, and lacking flavor. I had to use multiple napkins just to soak up the excess oil. The sambar also didn’t taste like the traditional version I’m used to. I also ordered pav bhaji, which was too watery. I originally planned to order more but gave up. When I arrived, I was surprised to see only one family in the entire restaurant, especially since the neighboring restaurant was packed. In contrast, the Frederick branch is always lively, with attentive staff and...
We visit Artesia twice a year from Utah for the food. During our recent dinner at Honest, we ordered Chinese fried rice, but it was cold and severely undercooked. After requesting a fix, it was still unacceptable. We then asked to cancel the order, yet they refused and charged us anyway, arguing extensively. The customer service was very disappointing. Additionally, a woman cooking in the back had her hair down, without a hairnet or tying it up, which was unhygienic. We had ordered the same dish before, but the quality and taste were noticeably worse this time. Overall, the food quality was very poor, and we wouldn’t even give one star. We will not be returning. I want to be completely honest with this review. In an era where waiting hours for food is common, this restaurant breaks the trend with impressively fast service, even on their busiest days. We visited with a large group of hungry people and ordered a variety of dishes. While everything tasted great, the standout for me was the Bahubali Sandwich. If you’ve ever enjoyed the street-side grilled cheese sandwiches in Mumbai or want to try them, this is the place to go. I personally recommend their sandwiches. There’s also the Bhakri Pizza, which I’ve heard a lot about but saved for my next visit. In short, good food and quick service—definitely worth a try.
The chaat had great flavors, though I found the crisps a bit too crunchy. The bhatura was nicely crispy without being overly oily, which I really liked. The pineapple raita was simply pineapple mixed with yogurt—pleasant but nothing extraordinary. Service was prompt. The restroom could use some cleaning. Interestingly, this restaurant has more security cameras than any other I've visited, which seemed a bit excessive—I’m not sure what they’re protecting against.
The service is incredibly fast—you hardly wait more than 10 minutes before the food arrives. I highly recommend all the chaats, as they are very flavorful. The pav bhaji was decent, but I’d rate it 3 out of 5. The dosa and sambar were just average, around 2.5 out of 5.
Need substantial improvement to the end product ordered rava dosa wondering what kind it was; sev puri was very mediocre and the bahubali sandwich also disappointing in all a very expensive ordeal … the only consolation was it was still all vegetarian : Book a table now
Honest is the only restaurant in Artesia that doesn’t use food coloring. Their curries are the best I’ve had since moving to California. The food is truly exceptional, and I will always choose Honest whenever I’m craving North Indian cuisine.
