Honghong is a Chinese restaurant, NOT a Thai restaurant!Come on, there are essential differences!Pros: very very reasonable price! Almost unbeatable!very very good portions! I need to pack leftovers every time!Some decent food! My favourite 啤酒鸭 (duck in beer sauce)Cons:Food quality is too volatile -_- sometimes too salty A few times, meat was tasted sour.One advice: it's better to ask the waitress/waiter for recommendations.It is NOT a place for adventure.
This chinese restaurant is small but has a charming ambiance. The food they serve is more of Shechuan style food. If you like this kind of chinese food, then this restaurant should fit you well. If another type of chinese food that you are after, then the food here may not suit your taste. Overall I would say the food is not bad, but not too stand out either. The service is average. The price is reasonable.
The dishes here were quite good and tasted similar to those dishes we have had in both Hong Kong (Chinese dishes like beef and broccoli) and Bangkok (Tom Yung Goong). Definitely popular with the Chinese community which is always a good sign. Only complaint we had was that several dishes were a bit too salty but otherwise great service, friendly staff and very original Chinese/Thai dishes.

This is one of the worst places that I've ever eaten in, which says a lot. They actually gave us cold, old noodles with no vegetables that were probably lying there for days. And the other dish tasted like ketchup. In a Thai place!!! No bang for your buck, guys.
Very good dishes. I went there three times for dinner during my business trip in Garching. The waiting time might be a bit long because the place is often crowded, but it is definitely worth it !
The food was very tasty, lunch service was on the slow side, dinner time was busier but service was ok. Really very good value. May be better to book for dinner, we had to wait for a table.
This place is awful. Took them 10 minutes to get the menus to us after they sat us, then took another 20 minutes for them to come back and take our order,... Book a table now
Nice place very close to the U-bahn station. Nice service, tasty food and a huge variety of asian dishes. A must un Garching.
