I tried to get in elsewhere but, through not booking, was unable to, so this was next on my list of places to try. It's never been open when I have been in the area before; now in the height of summer it was. Sitting under the shady trees out of the fierce heat was a cooling experience I was very happy with. There were about 30 other diners for lunch, couples, families, ladies who lunch and a solo diner, myself. I chose rillette of duck and a steak. The rillette was home made, but had not had enough seasoning or fat processed with it, coming straight from the fridge. It was a generous portion, a bit hard to eat, but ok The steak was good quality, cooked as I wanted it, rare not blue and came...

Stayed in the hotel with a group tour and it was a great experience. Rooms are on the small size (it was a monastery after all) and no tv, but the lovely grounds and peaceful tranquillity make up for it. Showers in rooms, and they provide a small bar of soap and sachet of shampoo. Reading lights over bed and armour to put clothes. Wifi was fine. Proprietor could not do enough for us and she was there doing everything all day. Breakfast was a bit dull after 9 days – orange juice, croissants, bread, 2 kinds of cheese, ham, vanilla yoghurt, 3 cereals, fruit and jam. The dinners were made for our group, and wonderful – great presentation.

We have lunch at the restaurant of this hotel: the setting is exceptional, in a green setting, in the shade of the centuries-old trees. The cassoulet is excellent, like the rest of the dishes! The service is very charming. Very good address.

un bel endroit au charme un peu désuet... mais une belle cuisine préparée dans la tradition.... Osez le Cassoulet même le soir, c'est un délice.. avec un Fitou savoureux. La patronne est une personne délicieuse toute dévouée à son métier...
