Hot Fish - Table reservation

First and foremost, 'Hot Fish ' lives up to its name. We decided to try the Grilled Fish (Basa Filet) with some tasty add ons like potatoes, tripe, spam, king mushrooms, and duck blood (they offer plenty of other options to choose from too). The fish arrives sizzling hot, perched on a continuous flame to ensure it stays piping hot throughout your meal. We opted for medium spice, but be aware that they follow the Szechuan scale, so what we considered medium turned out to be quite fiery for our taste buds. I am working in Bergen county and lunch is the free time for me to chat with my colleagues outside of our works. We tasted a lot of restaurants in all kinds of types in Bergen county. However, this year we saw most of them largely increased their price for lunch specials. Hot Fish is one of a few restaurants that still have reasonable price, around $11, for lunch specials. I loved their chili Chongqing chicken with numbing pepper, double cooked pork, etc. they all came with decent portion. If the menu says spicy, it's really spicy so be warned. We made a mistake of ordering 3 spicy dishes and one not spicy. All of our mouths were on fire by the end of dinner. But all the dishes were very good plus its BYOB!
