We visited in April, where this place had very little seating outside, and to be honest, it was so crammed inside that it kind of reminded me of a breakfast cafe in England! We took the plunge though, and boy was I wrong! My girlfriend...had the Moules Marinere, while I opted for an omelette and chips, which was gorgeous! Our table was quite small, but the service was good. Our french wasn't great, but we didn't speak a word of English the whole meal! The menu was huge and had a lot of variety, more than a lot of the posher places we had dined in. It was tucked away despite being so close to the Arena, and to be honest the pictures on here surprised us a bit as it was nowhere near as formal...

had late lunch and we ordered moule fries (a simple and normally good choice,) pizza and pasta cabonarra. it seems the restaurant has a preference for cheap fat cheese. my wife has abolished a pleasant volume from her pizza from this cheese. it was up. the tasteless carbonnara I thought that this dish should normally be with parmesan and finally the cheese was also over our moule to cure the soft and boring frits. we also had to fight with a lof of puppies that seemed to be rather bad than enjoying us. only on the back is the location only on the fantastic Roman arena. all the ingredients for a tourist trap there I should have been better prepared.
we have set ourselves to dinner my man had to relax after an 8-hour drive, so he ordered only 1 2 a bottle of white wine and told the woman owner that he thinks about the order a little later and I ordered a salmon dish. the chef told us that he didn't ow.n a bar and refuses people who only come for a drink he kicked us out. no explanations given we were so shocked that we left without fear because he was clearly the crazy owner type that I cannot recommend this restaurant at all and I will report it to the rat house.
We ate the daily special menu on a Monday lunchtime. This included seafood samosas to start (generous serving) followed by plaice fillets on vegetables and rice. All very nice, the local rose accompanied it all very nicely. Also very reasonable price. I recommend this restaurant....Forgot to add that the location is OUTSTANDING, slap bang in front of the best Roman Arena in the world. What's not to like? Book a table now
We went to this place by recommendation from local people. We were a table of 19 persons with businessmen from Cancun and the USA. we all left very happy with the service and the food. The owner Bernard has sent us after dinner drink and...we made a very good contact.
very warm welcome, a pleasant terrace with its beautiful view of the church of the saints, we took a fresh espadon with its homemade vegetables and its excellent homemade fries and dessert a lemon crumble made home excellent congratulations for a good quality price
stressful place where you can best pay before you sit down. the food comes fast, but too fast for my fish, which was still half-crush.Everything in all maybe a variant if you want to eat quickly, in the evening for a cozy stay certainly not the right place.
Had a super bottle of local rose, very well chilled. Had the suggested menu and dessert. Very simple but fresh and well presented. Good table but in France when you sit outside you always get some smokers sat next to you! Book a table now
We had a good lunch at this place. The salads were very tasty and of good size. The service was good as well and professional.
