There was not a lot of English spoken and my French is minimal, but we got along fine. Our room at Hotel du Trinquet was one of the nicest during our stay in France and Spain. Stratégiquement positionné, ce bel établissement rassemble la foule des touristes, curistes ou de passage, qui viennent y consommer, qui un copieux petit-déjeuner, qui une délicieuse sangria à l’heure de l’apéritif ou une somptueuse glace à l’heure de Vesper.Terrasse étroite mais très confortable, où la convivialité des consommateurs est une bien agréable pratique.Difficile d’accès le vendredi, jour du marché, en raison de la presse, mais l’ambiance y est toujours joyeuse et détendue.Notez que l’établissement propose également un service d’hôtellerie et qu’il est possible, à partir de Pâques et jusqu’au dernier dimanche de septembre, de s’y restaurer de quelque pizzas, sandwichs et croque-mo...
The hotel is perfectly located in the center of the town, with a nice terrace . It’s an old traditional basque house, entirely renovated inside (the hotel part). Everything is brand new in the rooms and bathrooms, and immaculately clean! There even is an elevator,...and lights working on a motion sensor in the hallway. But the best part is the landlady, who took such a good care of us and was attentive to each of our needs, and truly went the extra mile to make our stay very pleasant!

J'accompagnais mon grand père pour son café il y a quelques années lorsqu'il venait le prendre au Trinquet. Je prenais une grenadine servie avec le sourire...Aujourd'hui le service est toujours impeccable. Une serveuse souriante, réactive, professionnelle. Un biscuit accompagne le thé et le café. Des tapas accompagnent la boisson à l'heure de l'apéritif.Chiens admis et bien accueillis !
all about this small family-run hotel was great, with a beautiful room and newly furnished bathroom everything very clean and well equipped. there is a water cooker with tea and coffee and a large flat-screen TV. excellent breakfast served in the room or in the cafeteria. simple parking on the street outside.
Hôtel entièrement rénové avec goût et équipements de qualité. La taille des chambres, la salle de bains tout est parfait. l'accueil des propriétaires qui aiment leur travail, cela se voit. En résumé un hôtel ou l'on à envie de séjourner et y revenir. ce sera mon cas lors de mon prochain séjour au Pays Basque
Nous avons commandé des croques monsieur et une part de gâteau basque. Les prix sont certes bon marché mais la qualité n'est pas au rendez-vous. Ce sont des plats industriels réchauffés au micro-ondes. Le service est inexistant. On a l'impression de déranger...
