The HDP, as we like to call it, is utterly UTTERLY french. Living in the village, I 've come here several times. Whether it 's for a great shot off coffee, a wonderful meal, or a couple of nights away from the kids... it 's never a disapointment....The wifi is good and it 's been the heart of the village for the last 40 years at least. Took evening dinner on three occasions at Hotel du Pont, Grolejac. Good varied menu. Very reasonably priced Fixed price 3 course meals priced from €13. All freshly cooked and well presented. Good wine list also reasonably priced. Great ambience on the outside terrace....Overall the interior of the hotel looked comfortable, attractive well kept. Did not stay there but would love to give it try. Most certainly recommend the restaurant good food, pleasant staff, good service, good prices.

The menus here reflect the typical gastronomy of the Périgord Noir with les petits poissons being a great favourite. The family-run hotel and restaurant exudes period charm and we believe the frites here are to die for. Highly recommended. The rooms are spacious and gracious...too. What a gem.

Both menus are very good value if you don 't want to eat à la carte . The slightly more expensive one had a starter of freshly caught local river fish fried in garlic delicious. The steak was beautifully cooked. Good service in a simple environment.
