We had a wonderful dinner on the lovely patio at Hôtel Le Cro-Magnon. stars: the food was superb. The ingredients were fresh and seasonal and every dish was well-prepared and beautifully presented. There was a delicious vegetarian option and our said her chicken...was the best chicken ever (it was a nicely cooked dish nothing like the artificial packaged chicken on many children's menus). The owners, Jan and Ruud, are passionate about food and wine; Ruud assisted us with selecting the wine (Chateau de Tiregand Bergerac Pécharmant is now our favorite from this region). Definitely don't miss the luscious desserts and you must try Jan's homemade limoncello.

During our stay in the Périgord region, we had the chance to eat in Le Cro-Magnon twice. Both of our dinners were excellent. Very nice environment to have a relaxing evening out. Although close to the train station of Les Eyzies, you don’t hear any...noise. As Belgians, it is very nice to be served in Dutch by Ruud. He gives excellent advice on food and wine. Especially the foie gras and linguine were absolute highlights! An absolute must-do when you’re in the region! PS : sorry for the wine bucket

Ruud and Jan are the welcoming hosts of this charming hotel. We enjoyed our stay as a family as an overnight driving through France, but we could have perfectly stayed longer. There’s so much to do and see in that area, we surely will come...back! Big thumbs up for Jan for the dinner and breakfast! We enjoyed the local products and menu! Do not doubt visiting them, you will not regret it!

We enjoyed a very pleasant evening having supper on the terrace. The hotel and restaurant are under new ownership .. a lovely couple from Belgium. We started with a refreshing negroni; goats cheese salad to start, followed by a beef tournedos served with potatoes ...desert was vanilla ice cream chocolate sauce. Looking forward to our return visit. Book a table now

The menu offers a choice of three starters, main courses and deserts every day, so fresh products are used, including local specialties. Delicious! And with excellent wines! Also excellent and friendly service.
