Hou Hou China-Restaurant

I went with my husband for dinner. From the outside the restaurant looks bad, it is in an old building. However when entering the decoration is quite nice. A friendly lady helped us hanging our coats and took our order. She spoke well German and...besides the good information about the offered dishes (which was very useful considering the big menu) she also gave us some advice where to eat out when visiting bejing. After that a chinese young lady attended our table. She hardly spoke any German. We ordered a wan tan soup and some mixed chinese appetizers. Do not be fooled by the outside of the place this restaurant has a very good selection of food and does prepare it remarkably well!!! it is really pricey though... Siu Mai dumplings small ones) will set you back to francs and items...go up as you go. But it is truly authentic chinese with no artificial stuff nor starches on their sauces. Worth to go if you're in the area.

This is a very nice place to eat but the food was not up to the price charged. One person, no drinks and the bill was over Portions were okay but not huge. For the price I would have expected better seasonings and more...tender cuts. The atmosphere is nice and typical. Chairs are those hard back square type.

I had a very enjoyable meal the price is higher than the normal but the service and as I said the food is good.
