This place is a historic landmark that sells ice cream. I have come here over the years for decades. The area has become a little bit run down over time urban blight has set in. The parking lot is easily to get to but can be a little more challenging to exit with traffic congestion Malts are still the thing I try here I don’t think I would try the food. The place is probably very nice and clean but you would not want to see your food made here. There are some places in that kitchen that have not seen a mop in years (under things? OMG). The young woman behind the counter was disinterested in my presence to say the least. Cash only sir! See you in 4 years lady.
This is absolutely the worst place to get ice cream from, Not be because of the ice cream. This place has been in business forever and still only takes cash, then you can only pay with $20 bill or less. I just ask the guy could he break a fifty since I know they have the cash and he said no. And if you want to add extra toppings on your Sunday they won't do it even if they have the toppings available. I tried to add bananas to my Sunday and they said no, but if I wanted a banana split they could do it. Never again for me.
Every year I wait for this spot to open. The best soft serve ice cream in the area in my opinion. On a cone or in a cup. I usually get chocolate vanilla mixed on a cone. Banana split. Hot fudge sundae. Half Smoke. Hot dogs. Its a great family spot. If you are an Ice person like me they have the small round almost crushed ice for the sodas Closed on Mondays and it's Cash Only. Don't say you didn't know. No cards Cash Only. Meal type: Lunch

We were looking for ice cream and found this place in the middle of the highway with great reviews, and it didn 't disappoint. It 's a great spot for a sweet treat or sandwiches—the chili dog is amazing. The old-school ice cream shop atmosphere makes it feel like stepping back in time to the '60s. Highly recommended! The best soft serve. I've lived in Fort Washington for 37 years, Hovermales has been there longer. We always look forward to Spring and the first cine of the season. I only wish they had something like Dairy Queen's Peanut Buster parfait in the menu, it would be amazing since their soft serve is so much better. Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–10
Good Ice cream but the owner only take cash. By county ordinance the owner has to give two options for payment either card , digital or check.
Service is great! Parking is good. The food and ice cream was great as well. I give 4 stars because they only accept cash.
