Comically bad. My new #1 least favorite restaurant in the state of Michigan, out of a few hundred places. All started with those hurricanes on Friday night, barely sweet and chock full of every nail polish remover booze that could be found. It was so foul, it even ruined the maraschino cherry inside. Took two sips of it, then returned it because it was $5 vodka and red-dyed dish water. We then sampled: Some shrimp bisque that tasted like cheese soup with a dash of Cajun seasoning, voodoo shrimp that better resembled shrimp with A1 steak sauce (not bad), a halfway decent catfish smothered in etouffee, and a phoney po boy stuffed with burnt oysters and some wet sour onions with this sauce that...

This place is great. I just moved out here to Michigan and everyone here was so kind. Their Voodoo sauce is amazing, I'd literally buy a bottle of it if they'd sell it. I've gone there two times already and both times the food was spectacular. Their whiskey selection is pretty good too. If you're a whiskey fan, definitely try out the Big Fish. Very different from other whiskeys I've tried. I was very surprised with the cornbread being so good too. Chris (the bartender) is an absolute pleasure to have. The rest of the staff were very welcoming too. Oh, and if you really like key lime pie, you'll love theirs. Make sure to get it with the whipped cream. Perfect balance! As Chris prophesied, the...

I liked this place. I have not tried a wide variety of the menu but the food I did try was quite good. I ordered dirty rice and shrimp bisque. The dirty rice was okay but it kind of lacked seasoning. The shrimp bisque, however, was great. The meat seemed very fresh. It also came with corn bread, which tasted very sweet. The prices aren't too bad either for what you get. The service was very friendly and prompt as well. It seemed like the second my iced tea and water were gone, she was at my table asking me if I wanted a refill. The atmosphere is more of a bar setting also, which I liked. Overall, the food is pretty good and reasonably priced. The service was prompt and the atmosphere was lai...

The oysters weren 't oystering. I went there to get an oyster po ' boy; but I stopped myself when I ate the fried oysters for an appetizer. I was so disappointed. First of all, oysters are already done. You could eat them raw. When deep frying, the oil has to be so hot, 'cause all you 're doing is cooking the batter. Now, when you overcook the batter, trying to achieve that seafood crunch, you 're overlooking the oyster. I think that 's what the chef(s) did here. I tasted more breading than oyster. The food was amazing, and the prices were pretty good for the area. Our server was very attentive. I don’t like spicy food but I had the Voodoo Chicken Po Boy and it was awesome, however next time I’d ask for the slaw on the side. I really liked the sauce they gave to dip the sweet potato fries in. Would definitely come back here. The menu had a lot of signature Cajun/creole options. The Spinach and artichoke Dip app was great too.

s across the board! I was originally looking for a happy hour but when I called, the customer service was so good I’m like let me go in here anyways. It was so worth it. Customer service the shrimp the whitefish dip (the waitress let me taste hers) i got the berry blossom drop which is like a lemon drop.. I’m coming back for the shrimp and whitefish dip alone. I have no complaints.

Howe’s Bayou was delicious! I had the Voodo shrimp with dirty rice and catfish. The voodoo shrimp was packed with a subtlety spice gravy that went great with the dirty rice! The catfish was cooked to perfection! Seating is a bit cramped but it’s worth it! It gives me a more intimate feel when dining. Fantastic local southern inspired restaurant! It’s a must try!

Discovered this gem while attending the Funky Ferndale Art Fair. The food was amazing and the prices were reasonable. We had the fried catfish, blackened chicken po-boy, sweet potatoes fries, keylime pie, and two beers for $50. Wow!!!! I'm going back soon and telling friends. Book a table now

Nice night out. Had fried catfish with the shrimp etouffee. Wife had the special, fish and chips. She said it was the best she's ever had. My meal was excellent as well!
