Hunan Spring - Table reservation

Excellent customer service, very nice people. Great at honoring special requests like extra sauce or sending plates, without being asked, when I mentioned I was away from home. This is classic Chinese-American style so there are a lot of deep fried foods, sweet sauces, etc. But if you want to eat lighter, they do have steamed entrees and brown rice. My favorites are the pork dumplings, shrimp toast, egg foo young, beef with scallions, lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken, curry chicken and brown rice. Pretty much everything on the menu is good. I've been a customer for 12 years so they are very consistent.They rarely have ever made a mistake or disappointed in over a decade.

Great service and good food. Great for take out or eating in. My favorite menu items are General Tso's Chicken and they have the best Crab Rangoon! Yum!! A five minute walk from the South Blvd Purple Line stop in Evanston. If you're in the area check them out!! Today I ordered the General Tso Chicken lunch special that comes with an egg roll and fried rice. Great food at an excellent price during the lunch special.

We've been getting carryout from Hunan Spring for years. It's the best we know in Evanston. Nothing experimental, just solid traditional. We were there on Christmas Day (although we are not Jewish! and especially enjoyed the spicy green beans and the pot stickers. Decor is fairly generic; staff is friendly; prices moderate.

Food is consistently delicious. Big portions on lunch specials too! I usually order delivery, but I have also picked up. Delivery persons and restaurant staff are all kind and service is fast.

Enjoyed the Sesame Chicken and ShreddedChicken with Eggplant! Nicely spiced with a generous amount of rice and good appetizers added to this 5 star rating. Will order again!
