The General Tso's chicken was overcooked and dry. The Moo Shu dish was unimpressive. The biggest issue was the cost - 5 fortune cookies for $1.25, when my usual spot includes them for free. The total bill came to $48, with an additional fee for the door lock and mandatory tip bringing it to $31. This only added to the disappointment of the meal. They should be held accountable for their poor quality and pricing.
I have been a patron of Hunan Wok for several years. They offer a wide variety of traditional Asian and American dishes, all of which are consistently well-prepared. The menu clearly denotes the spiciness level of each dish, which is helpful. The prices are very affordable and the restaurant follows all New Jersey COVID-19 safety protocols.
I ordered the general tso chicken lunch special with pork fried rice and a can of soda. The chicken was seasoned to perfection with the tso, fresh an juicy underneath all that sauce. Broccoli joins the party crisp as ever. All nestled together with savory pork fried rice. ?
