we snow to the mountain house, and the last half of the hike was in fog, blasphemy and whiteout conditions. we were sure happy to come in the warm hut, with its large year old wood stove and its very traditional appenzell...interior this house is located at the top of a local hill, so they do not expect gourmet kitchen or decor. this is a mountain hut atz a place for hikers to get to eat some warm drinks, some snacks, or a quick snapshot before hitting them back on the way. the menu is traditional, local cuisine (pasta, cheese, sausage, brot, remember it as a fuel for the trip. the hospitality was in order, and the staff seemed to be happy that the visitors were on such a snowy day, but we w...
