This is a pretty good spot for yum cha. We came here for lunch on a weekday. It was quiet and the staff were friendly and attentive. The dishes we ordered were good but we thought that the dumpling skins were a little bit glutinous, which makes the yum cha a bit stodgy and heavy! Too many staff on , with not many people meant they kept on walking back and fourth like guards every few seconds, or conducting loud conversations right behind us. Tofu and vegetable hot pot was absolutely tasteless and cold contrary to name. Soup was bland and had to keep asking for soy sauce, chilli, anything to give it taste. Expensive and bland. Unfriendly service not that I care, I just want the food to be good. Have no massive concerns with yum cha here, it’s pretty good, this review is of the a la cartel menu. I would never come back for dinner here again.

My friends and I had a great time. We went to Yum Cha, and not having partaken in that experience for around 30 years, with not good memories, I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived before the restaurant officially opened, at 10am in a Sunday, expecting a queue, but fortunately for me I was first in line. The staff were courteous, the food was delicious and served hot and there was plenty of jasmine tea. I would go back again.
