H H Family Bay what does that even mean? RIP Hungry Harry’s. It certainly wasn’t the greatest BBQ restaurant. Famous for its hit or miss food quality and service so laughably bad management had to print shirts for their staff to wear saying; be nice to our servers or eat at home. I’ll never be eating here again, that’s for sure. New ownership and staff are somehow less competent than before with an unnecessarily revamped menu including Vietnamese style egg spring rolls and pho (at a barbecue restaurant, seriously), and all kinds of overpriced, elaborate, and unappetizing sounding sandwiches, burgers, salads, and nachos, nothing close to barbecue. All you can eat chicken and ribs have been my...

When the food finally arrived—over 30 minutes after we ordered—it was a mixed bag. For our party of four, some dishes were ice cold while others were piping hot. The chicken was incredibly dry; however, after sending it back, I received a much juicier piece that was twice the size. The baby back ribs were disappointing—$19 for just four small, dry ribs. My wife ordered brisket, which was quite good, but her mac and cheese came with cold, shredded cheese that wasn't melted. This suggests a very disorganized kitchen with poor quality control. To make matters worse, the menu has expanded so much that it's clear they are trying to offer too many items. Instead of mastering a few dishes, they se...
My wife and I live in St. Petersburg FL and we drive to Seffner to eat all you can eat ribs and chicken at Hungry Harry’s apparently now it’s called H&H barbecue. We traveled over there today to eat and the waitress informed us that they no longer have all you can eat Chicken/Ribs because a new owner took it over and changed it all up. Ribs were absolutely terrible. They should have never been brought out to the floor. They were dried out overcooked and disgusting. The chicken was and sausage was decent and sides were ok, but the brisket had a lot of fat. The waitress told us that she tried to get the new owner to keep the all you can eat on the menu, but he refuses to do that and she said t...
Hungry Harry’s has officially been bought out and despite only some interior being changed, you can tell everything is different. The new owners have clearly lost their minds, there were previously veggie options offered on the menu and for some reason that is no longer an option? In recent visit customers kept asking about menu items that were no longer available only to be told that it was up to the new owners discretion to make the adjustments. I have been going to hungry Harry’s for YEARS and am tired of the charm in restaurants being lost. The food here is good, but the southern hospitality that hungry Harry’s previously had is gone. Also, why is there Vietnamese food on a bbq menu? Unf... Book a table now
I have been visiting this restaurant for over 30 years. We decided to have dinner there, curious about the recent changes. However, we found only three tables occupied, and the customers all appeared quite unhappy. To make matters worse, we could hear the kitchen staff arguing loudly among themselves. After waiting for 15 minutes without any service, we chose to leave—not alone, as at least four other customers who hadn’t received their food followed us out. It's disappointing to see how the new owner has altered the menu, removing the all-you-can-eat specials, and in just a few weeks, it seems to have gone downhill. If this situation continues, it's hard to see how they can stay in business...
Under new management. The staff is sweet and friendly. Our server this morning was wonderful. The place was completely empty and the food makes its obvious why. The prices are about the same but the quality seems to have taken a downward spiral. The food wasn't bad, but it was not great like it used to be. It really feels like the new owners are trying to save a buck. Until the new owners figure out how to solve this we won't be back. This is unfortunate really because this WAS our go to spot for good home style casual BBQ.
Well…Hungry Harry’s has officially been bought out. They are now H&H Family Bay BBQ. Not sure who the new owners are but they are completely changing the place. All their delicious sauces are no longer available (only one left), the menu has Korean food on it now, many of the staples are gone, the service is horribly slow, so many spelling errors on the menu that it’s embarrassing (musterd for example), and unfortunately the quality of the “bbq” has decreased. Basically, this wonderful Seffner staple is no longer.
We have been coming here for a few years now. My husband picked up our food tonight and he had a baked potato and I had sweet. Both cold. Both of us got brisket and you see how that came out. No juices very very dry and cold. He did not get his baked beans and my okra looked like they fried it twice but it was cold. On top of that my husband tipped for a pick up. Very disappointed. Unfortunately, the restaurant has new owners and has changed its name and menu. The brisket and ribs I ordered were incredibly disappointing. I can't understand how it's possible to serve food that is so bland, dry, and lacking in flavor.

"We were very disappointed in the vegetable pizza that we ordered, it wasn't made correctly, it appeared to be undercooked and was nasty even after reheating. Wasn't worth the money we paid for it. The baked ziti and garlic knots were ok."
