I went with my work colleagues for a team lunch. We ordered the $45 banquet and I didn't expect much and thought it would be standard Vietnamese food. The food was not typical Vietnamese but infused modern style and it was amazing! I found out that the Vietnamese owner had learnt some of his trade through a French cooking school which gave an awesome twist to the food. Definitely going back and telling my friends about this one! :-)
I found this place on my way home from uni and was excited at the prospect of trying out a new restaurant. It is well set out with a nice atmosphere. I did not expect much based on previous experiences with pretty places. It is now my new favorite restaurant. I was incised to enter by the pho but ended up with a salad and steak with roasted sweet potato. It was delicious! I am looking forward to returning to try the pho.
Nice restaurant with an open atmosphere. Parking is free downstairs after 6pm. Dont be deterred there is no ticket system - just press the button and someone remotely opens it up. The food is simple and fresh but portions are rather small and the customer service is attentive but the waiter had difficulty understanding our order. I highly recommend the Slowly braised beef cheeks with bread $23.
Not everyone likes a modern take on an Asian classic but when done right can be great and with this establishment they've come close to it. Whilst not every dish gets hit out of the park, they do a great way to verbal job of modernizing the dishes to incorporate western tastes. Personally I prefer the authentic stuff but if you're in the area give it a go Book a table now
Ordered takeaway consisting of the rice paper rolls and the standard beef noodle soup. The broth was tasted alright and was rather exotic compared to traditional vietnamese pho. I got very strong notes of allspice or something. The rice paper rolls were standard along with the usual dipping sauce.
I thought the food here was really good. The scallops were wonderful. The pineapple mint drink was excellent, and though I don't care for either lemongrass or chicken, I found their lemongrass chicken truly delicious!
Interesting blend of modern French and Vietnamese cuisine... Unfortunately doesn't live up to expectations. Fresh spring rolls were bland and vegetable curry was over seasoned. Disappointing overall.
Amazing Vietnamese dishes with French influence. All the traditional herbs and spices are there. No corner cutting. Very friendly staff and chef. Will definite come back for the summer menu. Book a table now
The food here is delicious, so fresh and great sizes for sharing. The scallops were wonderful, and the pho is as good as Vietnam. I love the modern twist. Will definitely return.
