This restaurant is a secret spot has not come yet into the spotlight. Go before then.Enter this small establishment and prepare to be amazed. From the greeting and seating by the proprietors, to the explanation of magically concocted edible artwork, Hupperts will leave you immediately yearning for more. Scallops, Trout, Duck, Venison and gorgeously paired wines are available on the recent menu. Each plate outdoes the next in a five course meal. If you read the title and you read my December 2016 review, you will learn that Hupperts demonstrates one of the most important aspects of fine dining - consistency. Not just in food quality, but in their approach, service, presentation and friendly, hard-to-replicate atmosphere. Third time is a charm. This latest visit sealed the deal for me. We invited friends with high standards when it comes to dining out. This visit to Hupperts didn't disappoint. I finally got to partake in the sweet cigar/drinks lounge in the basement. One of Stuttgart´s fine dining hidden champions. The restaurant just opened 2 years ago and is now managed by the super friendly couple Marianne Giertz and Michael Huppert. Marianne is the restaurant manager and Michael is the kitchen chef. Both are doing a real great job and they really take care for their guests. The service, the food, the wine and champaign is at highest quality and value. You should ask for Michael´s surprise menu, it is what we had and well it was just perfect, so we will come back in one week !!! The restaurant is fairly plain within, there are roughly 6 to 7 tables only, so make sure to book to have a seat. There are only two people who run the restaurant. The owner(cook) and the service lady.I have not eaten so well in the last eight years in Stuttgart. We decided on the surprise evening meal which consisted of five main courses. Once you have eaten it all you are full to a perfection.I must say, this restaurant is excellent. Book a table now
My husband and I picked this based on reviews and it was just as stated. It was so much more than a meal. It was an experience and adventure! If you are in town, you must stop here. It is fabulous. The staff is friendly...and accommodating. Be prepared to spend a couple of hours as it is courses of food, but each one is brilliantly put together. We highly recommend.
We were seated in the front dining room near the street. The windows were a bit dirty. There were even some spider nets on the window sims. Food was fine but did not leave me with a strong impression. Service ok. The restaurant is in...a modest residential neighborhood and the atmosphere just lacks some characters.
From start to finish a perfect experience. Not one of the ingredients was only average, all the recommended wines were a perfect pairing with the delicious menu. Combined with a joyful service and an excellent value for money Hupperts beats most restaurants with a star. Can't wait to go back.
