My wife and I had a perfect experience here tonight at Hy’s Waikiki. That was perhaps the best meal we had in our lives. We have eaten in some very fine restaurants over the years, but the best rib, lobster and king crab were fantastic above the top in each of their respective categories. I would recommend this place to anyone whether you are a regular food expert, or someone who saves for a very special night. The ambience was incredible and the staff was great. If you go, I hope you'll get Logan, Ernie, Nic and Jerrel as your waiting staff. Danny was our Grill Master and Chris was our bartender. Kudos all. Dinner was very good. The Fois Gras is a must. Our server made a table side chocolate flambé and he explained ingredient and process at every step, he also had the absolutely perfect blend of sophistication and comfortable friendliness throughout the dinner. His inviting yet fine polish complemented the entire experience. The music was delivered live by an extremely talented gentleman with an absolutely beautiful voice. The Valet was also friendly and welcoming. A little expensive and demanding, but not stuffy or pretentious. Worth every cent.
Come prepared .... Let's start with the receptionist. We were greeted with wonderful courtesy. We were a little early and the bar was crowded, so we were escorted to a lobby area. Not more than 3 minutes, a hostess came and looked for me to take us to our table. Now the waiters, to the drinks, to the food, and then the desserts, all EXCELLENT. Get this ... the doggie bag was a strapped cloth bag, similar to a grocery cloth bag with their logo. High end? Of course ... exactly how you were treated .... high end, classy. Good job Hy's.
I love it... Remembered some old school classic restaurants in New England. Great menu; hard to decide what to order because everything sounds good. The drinks were a little slow, but delicious. Escargot was delicious. They ran out of the Steak Special, but immediately informed us and offered a replacement that was even better. We ordered two table-side preparation articles, Caesar Salat and Flambé... a lot of professional service. Really enjoyed our experience....and our pup even enjoyed the Tomahawk bones later in the evening....

The food and service was exceptional! Great happy hour. The oysters that we started with were some of the best we’ve ever had. We all enjoyed the escargot and would definitely order that again. We shared the porterhouse steak which was absolutely wonderful with the peppercorn sauce.
Great food, even better service! So glad we went there. The bananas foster made tableside took me back to Brennan's in New Orleans. A must for anyone that visits Honolulu and appreciates top notch food and service!
We love the bar menu of 5-7! It was just the right amount of food. The food and service were excellent, and it was the best Mai Tai we ever had. You have to check it!!
Absolutely the best steak we have had in HI. Service was outstanding and we could not have asked for a better place to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
