For the first time for a late lunch / early dinner. There was a small crowd, just a big party, a family of four, and we. We were a bit confused because in the waiting area no one was in front to greet you or sit. We went to the dining area after a few minutes and were then greeted and told wherever we want to sit. All steps in the process were a bit slow to pay from the drinks, to order. But the staff was nicely embraced, but seemed a little fatal for the customers for such a slow time. The first serving of bread was delicious, warm and fresh. One thing I enjoy over Portuguese restaurants is the olives and bread served for the table! We ordered Calamari to begin... it was okay. Had a coating...
Let me start by saying I have nothing bad to say about this place. Our first time visiting Iberia. The server greeted us with a big smile almost happy to see us because it was so dead. Seeing the place so empty kind of raised my antennas thinking to myself this has to be a sign of what?s to come. Francisco our server was very hospitable. Being it was our first time we went with a dish he recommended, which was a family meal. It was cooked perfectly. Our appetizer came superquick we always order calamari when we see it on the appetizer menu. I?ve had better calamari but my daughter seem to love it. We ordered a pitcher of sangria red and it was really good. So good, I wanted t to order a seco...
I'm from North New Jersey, near Down Neck Newark NJ. I miss this kind of food from top to north. The food was excellent and the staff is wonderful. We celebrate my parents 53rd anniversary and we all had a wonderful time and the food was exquisite. This is the first time that nobody complained about how the food tasted. We even have food. Sangria white and red was delicious. We're definitely going back. Even through them are not connected to Iberia in Down Neck Newark, they have made good with the taste of food and the atmosphere.
We went to lunch and I can't say the place was bad, but it wasn't great. Our first disappointment was when we got our shrimps in green sauce, just to find out that it was only shrimp scampi with some pieces Cilantro. The paella was okay, but nothing I want to try again. Will we come back by when in the area? Maybe. Do we make a special trip? No!
