Unfortunately, we probably won't be returning to this once treasured spot for dinner and breakfast. We usually order the steak and eggs, and we always request the steak medium to avoid overcooking. However, this time they served us a completely gray T-bone, cooked all the way through with no sear— it looked more steamed than anything else. It was clear that they cooked it on low heat, likely out of a desire to avoid messing it up, but it ended up worse. It seems that many of the familiar staff members have changed, and sadly, there was only one server we recognized. Wow! I hadn't been there since early 2021, but I visited two weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised by the renovations. The place looks fantastic, and the atmosphere is incredibly inviting. The music was soothing and created a lovely backdrop. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous, which is a refreshing change since many restaurants have downsized their servings lately. IHOP really nailed it! I enjoyed everything so much that I almost took off my shoes, completely forgetting I wasn't at home (seriously, LOL). If you’re planning a visit, make sure to fill up your tank at Palo Alto Gas on San Antonio Road or at Costco (they understand quality too), and head over to IHOP!
Let's begin with the awful service. I waited more than 10 minutes for someone to greet me. After a long wait, I had to walk into the kitchen area just to get someone's attention. When I finally did, the staff member rudely told me to wait for service. This all happened after I had already waited 10 minutes just to be greeted and seated. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place—you'd probably receive better service from a food truck than you would here.
It’s nice to have a local spot to grab a late night bite to eat when you actually want a table as opposed to drive thru. Believe it or not, it can get a bit crowded during the late night hours and there is only minimal staffing during the late hours. So be sure to plan for a bit slower service.

The service and food at this IHOP location are top-notch. Everything was delicious, and our waiter was perfectly attentive, making our experience enjoyable. I highly recommend visiting here, and I will definitely be coming back in the future.

We were seated quickly, and our food came out hot within just a few minutes. The server was friendly and took the time to tell us about the special offers, ensuring we felt well looked after.
My omelet was incredibly delicious, definitely one of the best I've ever tasted. The chicken burger was fantastic as well. The service was exceptional too.
