3 of us came in here because my boyfriend said they came a couple nights ago and how great it was. Tonight it was AWFUL. Their steaks were well done even though they ordered medium and their mashed potatoes came out cold. A girl helped us and wasn’t even our waitress, apologized, and took it back. It was obvious they just put the whole plate in the microwave so it cooked their steak even more. We only came here to purchase a couple of drinks. Hot chocolate Tea. We were helped with a kind waitress who directed my husband to a table while I went to the restroom, as we'd been traveling to come visit some friends. But, as my husband was going to the table, two different waitresses tried to stop him, saying he couldn't sit down if he was ordering food that he'd have to wait up front. He let them know that we were only ordering drinks. Plus, the restaurant was only partially occupied. It was strange for sure. But the waitress that helped us was kind helpful. If I could give this place a negative stars I would. We got seated pretty quickly. Placed our order waited an hour for our food then instead our food coming out all at once she would bring one plate out every 10 minutes. By the time our whole table got our order the first 2 plates was cold. We never where asked to refill our drinks. Out waiters was the manager on duty. Very sad to see a ihop go down hill. They are out of Chicken Strips, Turkey, Buffalo Chicken. We did get sat down real quick and our waitress was very nice and it’s not her fault a lot of stuff is unavailable. This IHop Artesia, NM is the worse place to work at if you are NOT a family member or a friend of the GM Daniela. She plays favorites. 4 employees walked out within a week. She lets everyone know everyone business. Employees pays are discussed with all employees. They are always running out of food, cheese, breads, and many more food items have mold and she told cooks to just cut it out and serve it anyways. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
