The one word that comes to mind when I think about my experience of this place is... FUN. Fun fun fun. It's the atmosphere, the jolliness of the staff, the hilarious owner (who is a local 'character' and lives up to his role). The food is quite magical, very authentic portuguese. I loved the goats cheese and honey starter, and my beef filet was cooked to perfection. Portuguese wine was fab, desserts were good, prices were on the upper end of the scale but very reasonable- certainly value for money. And the setting is lovely. This was right next to the campsite we were staying at so very handy. The service was very good with the waitress taking a shine to our six year old daughter! We opted for a lunchtime Menu du Jour which as excellent value (rare on the island!) and went down a treat with all four of us.We stuck to sparkling water which helped the bill but it was still good value and the food was outstanding. While we sat outside in the sun, the interior was very light and airy too with a nice, contemporary feel. It's also very close to the best beach on the island.Recommended.

We went for the octopus, and I was not disappointed; it was beautifully presented and wonderfully tender. There was a wide choice of dishes, including tapas style options. This was our first time at this restaurant, and we were impressed with the fantastic decor, there are three rooms, a cellar, ground floor, with terrace backing onto the dunes, and upstairs. The food is good, generous portions, and genuine Portuguese cuisine. We will return
