are you looking for an elegant restaurant in düsseldorf? the "in the naval" is clearly recommended. the stone building with a uniformed but rather useless portier is inviting and the golden letters above the entrance "in the naval" look promising. we were led to a table in the second floor. beautiful tables, the walls with lots of wood. Although this could be cozy, the place made a somewhat stiff impression. we ordered some water that needed some time to be brought to the table. as an appetizer we chose lobster and as the main course Wagyu beef, which was prepared on two different species. the taste of the lobster was in order, but the violet color was less inviting. the bark was rather dry....
is michelin 2 stars. it starts with very good service, excellent I can't say because not everyone in the restaurant is equally competent in service. the dinner is usually covered. 8 or 5. it's a lot to eat. it is French-Japanese fusion. eating in this restaurant (or in bistro) is an authentic life experience, where excellent eating is accompanied by a first-class presentation and a first-class service. in any case recommended!
