We've been here a handful of times. EVERY. SINGLE. VISIT. has been excellent! Mothers day brunch a few years ago: great food, great service. Oysters and drinks: great food, great service. Dinner a year or so ago: great food, great service. Dinner yesterday: great food, great service. Seeing a theme here? I sure am! We went in yesterday with the intent to get a few oysters and hh eats. Ended up getting the catfish (fried for him, blackened for me). I was having a difficult time making a decision between the catfish, the Mahi Mahi, and the salmon. Our server helped me out, saying this catfish will be the best I've ever had. He was right! And the polenta (fried into delectable, creamy cubes) ma...

We came back for happy hour with some friends, and couldn't have been more impressed. Ross, our server, said there wasn't anything bad on the menu- and he wasn't wrong. This time we tried the hush puppies- which were fabulous. They were served with a sweet and spicy sauce that was the perfect counterpoint, and I may have been in love. My friends also said their lobster rolls and fish sandwich were on point. We had a few different cocktails- a blackberry one that was on tap, a strawberry lemonade, and the sangria. Everything was delicious and flavorful- the sangria was probably in my top 10 drinks of all time. Totally worth braving downtown. Highly highly recommend

Nice place for a night out. Definitely the best oysters I have had in Denver. The rest didn't wow me. I found the mahi to be good but the sauce to be overpowering and there weren't many potatoes. The cesar salad was a bit too lemony for my taste. They will split the salad if you order for two people if you like. The gumbo had a large amount of seafood in it, which we loved, but was very smokey. The service was excellent and provided everything we need. They will bring bread if you ask for it. It was a moderate noise level but I can see it get loud on crowded days. We will definitely be back to try out more of the raw bar and cocktails.

Amazing experience and my favorite seafood restaurant. This review is long overdue and it's been a year since I visited clearly this restaurant is still on my mind! The quality of the fish here is incredible, the staff was friendly and the drinks were good. We tried to walk in without a res (big mistake) but made a reservation for the very next day. It was extremely busy but we never felt pressured to eat quickly. Definitely recommend the calamari. Jax will be my go to spot whenever visiting Denver.
