Great service! We asked if the chicken was halal and our server made sure to go to the back and properly check and confirm. It was halal! Do ask because suppliers can change. Decor is nice and intimate. I don't have much experience with Indian cuisine, so I can't compare them to much, but I really appreciated their flavor. My favorite dishes include the spinach chaat, Malai kofta, and any dessert the server recommends that day. If you enjoy cocktails, I highly recommend trying the martini as well! This was one of the first places I visited when I moved to Philadelphia for medical school. Call me sentimental, but I’ll always remember how the manager congratulated me and brought out celebratory champagne flutes for me and my friend. He took the time to chat for about 10 minutes, asking where I attended college and what my future aspirations were. It made me feel at ease in a city I was still getting to know. The food was undoubtedly good, but the servers made the whole experience uncomfortable. Had two servers for reasons unknown and kept bothering us while we did nothing. The first server kept checking up on us every 5 minutes asking if we can order when it wasn't even busy. It felt like she was rushing us out. Again we ordered an entree and sides for each of us and it was not busy. Halfway through, a second server came by and asked if we were done. I don't understand if it's because we look young or because we look Asian. But this is an Indian restuarant and Indians are Asian. At the end, we didn't even stay for an hour for dinner. IndieBlue is a beautifully decorated Indian restaurant with a pleasant ambiance. The menu offers a good variety of dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings. While the food was enjoyable, it wasn’t exceptional. However, one area that could use improvement is the staff. Our server seemed quite confused and was not very informed about the menu. They brought the bill at an awkward moment and even attempted to take away our food while we were still eating. Overall, it’s a nice place that I like and would return to, but enhancing their hiring practices would be a worthwhile improvement.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! The dishes are flavorful and perfectly balanced. They also offer unique cocktails that are a must-try. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, providing a wonderfully personalized experience. I would give it an 11 out of 10 and would definitely dine here again! I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
We enjoyed our waiter and his knowledge of the dishes. We tried Brunch and was surprised at the choices. Recommend making a reservation. We arrived with our reservation when Indeblue opened on Sunday and within an hour the place full!!
Did the $45 multiple course option. It was fantastic , the lamb shanks for appetizer were great. You get a nice variety of food , I was satisfied and stuffed on the way out .
