We had reserved at the open table and requested a stand. When we got there, the hostess didn't confirm our reservation when we told her we booked them online and still got us to a table. Jerico's has been our point of contact for special occasions for years. Unfortunately, this time has not fulfilled all of our previous experiences. Usually the fillets (Knight's Cut) are incredibly tasty and tender. This time they were barely seasoned and had to be sent back to reach the medium kitchen we requested. This information was shared with both the hostess and our server. While the hostess offered to put another steak on the grill, we didn't want that as it would have been wasteful as we wouldn't be able to eat it then and we wouldn't be able to eat it at home in time. My visit to this restaurant was a horrible experience. The waitress we had was one of the worst I've ever encountered. We waited 15 minutes for our drinks, and when she finally came to take our order, she informed us that she had forgotten her pen. She disappeared for another 20 minutes before returning. The food we received was cold and lacking in flavor. My brother even went as far as to say that our grandmother's steaks were better, despite her reputation as the worst cook in the family. To make matters worse, when I paid my bill, the waitress did not return with my change - she kept it for herself. Although it was only $8, had it been more, I would have definitely made a complaint.
The food was very good. However, the service was not. It took a while for someone to greet us at the host station. Once greeted, we sat and then it took over 5 minutes for our waitress to contact us. We discussed getting up and going somewhere else when she got to our table. We ordered drinks and the wait began. We could see our drinks at the bar but again it took forever for the waitress to bring them to us. Overall, the only salvation for us that night was the food. It was very good. I had the prime rib and it was tops. I will try this again but was disappointed with the overall result mainly because of the lack of service.

We celebrated a beautiful Valentines Day dinner with friends at Inizio. A beautiful sunset over the Pacific was our backdrop as we enjoyed a delicious buffet on the Terraza. We received a warm welcome by Isabel and great service by Rosalio , Sergio and Angel. We enjoyed the live music that was not loud and allowed conversation. This is an ideal spot for happy hour and sunsets and reasonable prices with friendly service.
As always, the highlight of the meal was the prime rib. That's the main reason I occasionally stop for dinner at Jerico's. The blue cheese salad dressing is so-so and tastes like it comes out of a glass, but the wine portions are quite generous, although the wine list is quite dated and conventional. And at 77, I just have to have qualified to reach the minimum age for entry! Still, the prime rib is the best in town.!
Server was incredibly rude. I never asked if we need to refill drinks. I never asked if the food was okay. Ordered a medium-rare prime rib. It came out medium good. My husband's middle rib was much rarer than mine. Just an overall bad experience.
"Old school" steakhouse with minimal frills, so the food has to be shiny! The food was solid, the waitress struggled and our total time in the restaurant was close to 90 minutes - way too slow considering they weren't busy.
