We were on the chicken wings, cheesy pizza, Thai green curry, Scottish filet and salt and pepper squid. The Entrees were pretty fast. The high ceilings and torbways welcoming them into the railroad groups, the open platform areas of the platform, a fine restaurant and Greenfield bistros are a sight. The atmosphere of the bistros is in a train station (ie the name of the restaurant). The breakfast buffet offers eggs (poached or fried) as well as the usual hot breakfast articles such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, highbrown, mushrooms and cold objects like fruits, pastries and cereals. definitiw not impressed. After waiting for my lunch for 45 minutes, I decided that I had enough and went to talk to the chef to find that none of my meals were made. they tried to compensate by offering a free garlic cheese pizza, but was that really enough to get rid of very bad service? it was also a Mother's Day event. the food itself was not so pleasant, I had to share the seafood tasting platter, quite unseasonal. the steak itself was soft, but unlike that, not great at all. will not come back.
Lovely dining area, set in a train station. Had the shared seafood plate with calamari, octopus moreton bay bugs, prawns and flathead fillets. Not bad (especially the octopus which were really tender) but not sure about battering and deep frying prawns (shell on) and the bugs. The restaurant bar was great value pure blondes for $5.
One of the cool restaurants in the well-prestigious bankstown sports! Atmosphere of a train station certainly gave this bistro an exciting experience. We had the roast of the day, the station Burger and a Tuscany Bruschetta and it was a beautiful meal. I would like to try your fine dining rooms soon!
Came here one morning for the buffet breakfast. Had most of what u expected. For $24, you get what you pay for. Far from gourmet dining experience but all in all good if you feel like stuffing yourself in the morning.
