I would definitely recommend iris as a go to restaurant. Whether you are looking for an intimate dinner or even a bigger dinner celebration they are amazing at both. I gave visited for my anniversary with my husband and for a larger family celebration for a 60th birthday. The staff were absolutely amazing from enquiring to dining for the celebration, they kept in contact regularly to ensure all was going to plan. On the night all meals were correct and delivered to guests accordingly and with the appropriate time between courses. Been here many times but this fantastic place can be overseen. The service from the team is friendly and natural and to say they are younger they certainly make you feel relaxed and at home. The menu is not exhausting and we went for the 2 course option however it was a Wednesday and they offer a steak menu on that day. The food we ordered was so fresh and tasty admitting we didn’t have room for desserts. The cost with drinks was really great value for money and we left them a good well deserved tip.
Booked Sunday lunch, son and I, at 1.30pm. It was delicious. Atmosphere was lovely, busy but not too crowded with easy dinner music in the background. Had beef that came with individual vegetables and I asked for separate gravy. Glass of Pinot and a diet coke very good. Puddings were cake and a chocolate bomb which were both nice. Coffees then, perfect. Service was just right and the whole vibe was just spot on. Thank you!
We were bought a voucher for Iris and what a great present! We’d never heard of it before, but we’ll definitely be back and spreading the word. A low key little restaurant. The food was delicious and the service excellent! There was a great atmosphere as well. I’d highly recommend the blue cheese arancini and the confit duck leg both were tasty and fairly filling. The Golden Snitch desert was a great way to end the meal!

Somebody shared their Sunday roast online and I had to try it! It tasted as good as it looked. I went for the beef and had the option of medium or well done, went for medium and it was cooked to perfection as were all the trimmings. Had the golden snitch and peach Eton mess for dessert and both were delicious. Staff were all very attentive and friendly, would definitely return.
We had a booking early doors on Saturday evening from the moment we walked in the staff were amazing, the menu and the offers that were offered were explained, once we decided on are food it was delivered in no time , absolutely delicious for all 3 courses, would have no hesitation in recommending this place
Absolutely amazing food, the best I’ve had in Wakefield. Me and the family have been several times now because the service is always stellar and every item we have ordered has been incredible. Staff are also always very friendly and helpful.
