I come here regularly when i am on my own to meet some English speaking people and to watch sport, particularly the rugby internationals. It is a welcoming pub with five or six screens set up so you can sit in a corner and watch...your favourite event. There is a well stocked bar with most German beers and even some Guiness yuk!. The menu is varied offering pub food including fish and chips, irish stew, cottage pie and some local favourites like wiener schnitzel etc. The quality and quantity of food is excellent although the cottage pie and Irish stew do not quite taste authentic. It Is good enough though when you have been away from home for weeks on end and you are missing some home comfor...
We went here for a meal on our first night in Bad Homburg as we were looking for somewhere close to our hotel as we were tired. The bar itself is welcoming and the draft German beer Bitburger was very nice indeed and decent a pint. We had a couple of pints and it was consistently good. Very pleasant barman who also doubled up as a waiter. We sat in the main seating area and had a main meal each. The food was good quality, very generous portions and decently priced. Plenty of screens if sport is your thing. It isn't fancy but it is a pub, not fine dining
Ratings are always a personal thing. Some find the smallest of detail to moan about. Here, the food is good, large portions and the Chef knows how to cook a steak. Service has always been friendly and quick. Yes, sometimes during their busiest periods it...can be slower than normal but nonetheless acceptable. From some reviews here you'd think they booked a Michelin Star restaurant rather than a sports bar! Noisy? Give over, it's a sports bar people...
Nothing spectacular, doesn’t look very clean, it’s premises average. If you sit near the kitchen you will be covered with the smell of fried potatoes and fried chicken. Guiness beer is good, but that’s about it. Not a place to eat

Food was pretty disappointing. For example, for my taste, old fat on nachos. Meat quality burger was just that. Will be happy to drink a Guinness or a whiskey there in the future, but definitely not have dinner there
Reservation was cancelled because we came few minutes late. Staff didn't even talked with us. She said that she doesn't have time for discussions because she is to busy so we had to leave
Great Irish beer, great hamburgers—the best in town!—and wonderful French fries. A very publike atmosphere. I've eaten there many times and it is always terrific
It's amazing how this waitress copes with her job on her own when the restaurant is full and remains friendly at the same time. That gives a sixth extra point

The reservation did not work for the third time. Although the place wasn't full, we weren't served for minutes and left without having achieved anything
