I had high hopes for this $16 burger, but it fell short. It came topped with American cheese, which I found disappointing. There were no options for side dishes other than chips or fries, and there were no garnishes like lettuce, tomato, onion, or pickles. Even a side salad wasn’t offered.
The fish batter was decent, but unfortunately, the fish itself had a somewhat fishy taste. I ordered chips to take home, but when the food was served, everything came in takeout containers. It seems we visited on an off day. We encountered a long wait, and our food wasn't served hot. My husband ordered his burger medium rare, but it came out completely dry. I had the fish and chips; while the fish was fantastic, the chips were just average. They also forgot the tartar sauce, and we had to wait a long time for refills on water and soda. Most of the waitstaff appeared to be teenagers. There was another table that arrived after us, yet they received their food much faster. With our toddler in tow, the extended wait for our meals made us regret choosing this restaurant.
We tried two appetizers, the Irish chips and Reuben bites, but couldn’t finish them because they lacked flavor. When we mentioned this, nothing was done to address it. We ended up paying our bill and leaving. The location is great, but the food was not worth it.
The food was excellent; I ordered the Shepherd's pie. The mixed drinks were also very good. As for kid-friendliness, I think it would be suitable for children. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

This is a lovely place to visit. However, the vegan and plant-based options are quite limited. A hummus plate served with pita and vegetables would make a fantastic addition to the menu.
The place is fantastic, but it could be vastly improved if the bartenders weren't eager to leave by 9 PM. It has great potential to be an amazing bar in Plainfield.
