As a longtime customer, I’m not happy to write this review but I’m hoping it will be a catalyst for change. The skin on the hot dogs is so tough that the insides come out as you are unsuccessfully trying to bite through it. Makes the dog inedible. This has happened on my last two visits. Andy Greenspan and his dad started this great joint probably 50 or so years ago after I'd been out of New Trier, moved to Colorado, and came back craving a real Chicago hotdog cheese fries in the 70's. All I can tell you is that this is simply one of the all-time greatest stands ever if you love our local sandwich grill delicacies. Excellent food, great workers, great management. I’ve been coming here for the past 20+ years since I was 8 years old. When I came by the restaurant today I was greeted by the same friendly workers and thanked by the owner Andy on my way out. Love the American spirit at this family owned restaurant. Get the jumbo beef hotdog with everything and cheddar fries.
Great Chicago style hotdog stand that serves merkts cheddar my favorite. Owner is always behind the counter he works fast and efficiently. This place is old school and will even hook up condiments! Great seasoned cris cut fries, hot dogs, Italian beef, gyros, and beyond. Worth going and coming back.

The food here is absolutely excellent! I had the 1/2 lb cheeseburger, and it's definitely one of the top five burgers I've ever had. The addition of cheese with fries is a nice touch as well! The staff are very friendly too.
Always the best! I've been coming here since I was a child, and it hasn't changed a bit. The same friendly staff greets me with a smile every time.
Ok hot dog stand but not as clean as I would like and doesn't use Vienna dogs and sausage, which I prefer. I don't really recommend this place.
I am not happy at all I had the chesse fries and the chesse was all oil and my Chicago hot dog was gross
