Island Stone Pub - Table reservation

I was passing through Kensington on my way to another town and decided to stop for lunch. I was pleased with my decision as the restaurant was quite busy, with reservations filling up for later in the evening, but they were able to seat me at the bar. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, and the food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I ordered a burger and poutine, both of which were excellent. The burger was juicy and messy, just the way I like it, and the poutine had a delicious gravy and squeaky cheese. Delicious restaurant recommended by locals. The food and service was delicous. One thing I appreciated is the server gave recommendations rather than say all is good or whatever you have a taste for which happens. We had a starter of delicious kettle chips. My husband had a Smokestack burger with fries and I had the classic station burger with village salad. Both were delicious, highly recommend this restaurant.

Another great visit. The service is always top notch. Staff very very pleasant.Prices reasonable. Great wine/cocktail choices. Lookin' fwd to return visit in August. Bring your appetite,,,,,,,large portions.

The long waits, flat soda, canned ice tea, sticky tables, and still waiting for our food were all major disappointments. It took over 45 minutes to get a burger, which is unacceptable.

Amazing food! My husband said this place has the best fish and chips ever! And my burger was really delicious!!! If you want a guaranteed good meal, go here!
