We had 5 people, for my sons birthday. We sat in the corner booth with the curved seats and chairs. For some reason, our server wasn’t very attentive to us. We spent $200 and constantly had empty drinks and couldn’t find our server. It was easily the worst service I’ve ever had at J Alexander’s. We might start going to Redlands grill on west end instead.
We love J Alexanders, but the service seems to be slipping. The last couple of times we've eaten there, it has taken too long to be acknowledged with even a glass of water, too long to get a glass of wine from the bar before dinner or a cup of coffee after dinner. I hate to see this slipping because the service has also made this restaurant so great!
j. Alexander is never disappointed! the service is almost always efficient and eating consistently well. some of our favorites are the Thai kai chicken salad, the burger, the French dip, meerroter thunfisch, prime rib. also they have the best baked kartoffel!
Despite a reservation we had to wait about 15 minutes. The server wasn’t very knowledgeable about drink menu. However, service got better and food was delicious! Book a table now
Good meal. J Alexander’s is always consistent. Waitress got bill confused but manager quickly corrected.
