OKAY first of all, they were on Diners, Drive Ins Dives if that isn 't enough to get you into the door, then how about an incredibly HUGE menu of literally anything you can think of on a menu with incredible daily specials? Still need more? Their staff is probably the most attentive, helpful quick staff at a tavern/bar that I 've ever encountered! The food is excellent, though a bit on the pricey side. The atmosphere is very pleasant. However, I will be paying in cash from now on. Recently, two of my credit cards were compromised, and I noticed fraudulent transactions on both cards that occurred this past Sunday. Fortunately, my banks were quick to contact me and block them. The only place where I used both cards was at J. Towne Tavern, and one of the cards hadn't been used for seven months prior to the charge there. This could be coincidental, but I have my doubts. Jimmy D., I suggest you keep a close watch on your staff just in case.
Food is great if a little expensive. Very nice atmosphere. I'm just gonna pay cash, though from now on. Two of my credit cards have recently been copied or cloned with fraudulent transactions coming on both cards. These fraudulent transactions came only last Sunday. My wife and I went over the weekend to J Town for our first meal. We could not believe how incredible the experience was. The ambiance was great, the staff was exceptional and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed four courses and each one was better than the next. I fully recommend this be added to your list. I know we will.

Nice atmosphere. But it's just a diner. 4 Prime. Rib dinner ordered were terrible!! All overcooked and cold on arrival! Great service and large servers. Would never go there again! I was embarrassed to have brought my family there!!
Amazing atmosphere, great beer, bartender and server. The food is great and the football specialties and the crowd is great. Great place to see a game... So many TVs show games. Totally cool!
My experience at the restaurant was wonderful. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and I had a lovely evening. I can't wait to return!
I love it here. Bartenders are the reason we're coming. Very personal. Attention. Always a smile. The night bartenders are simply amazing.
