I wasn’t completely sold on Jacks Café. The staff were friendly and efficient, the coffee was very good, but I wasn’t a fan of the décor, and my brunch was only average. I think I would give them another try as I have heard good things, but my first visit wasn’t overly memorable. My partner and I had lunch on a Sunday, around 12:30pm. She had been previously and it is supposed to be the best in Penshurst. At first I didn’t mind the décor, very minimalist with concrete all around. However once we moved inside (quite a cool wind tunnel outside) the concrete did amplify and echo all the noise. Had brunch at this cafe hidden behind the train station. The decor is different but interesting. Their chilli scrambled eggs was delicious, had just enough of a kick without it being too spicy. The coffee I had was a bit bitter but overall the place was great.

Lovely hidden cafe behind penshurt station. Love the menu for breakfast here! Fantastic service with lovely staff. I loved my smashed avocado and tomato on sourdough and the acai smoothie was fantastic! Will 100% be going back!

Great Coffee destination .... They make a lovely cuppa... I went with my family. But I'll be returning with friends... It's well worth ducking in for a visit. With so many local options I hope Jack's does well!
