My order: -Wonton soup -Shrimp lol mein -Singapore mei fun -General tso chicken combo (comes with fried rice and egg roll) Everything was hot Egg roll was crispy and more flavorful than what I ussally find at other places Wonton soup was very flavorful with the broth, and the amount of wontons served was generous. Shrimp lol mein was delicious and flavorful Singapore mei fun was spicy but lacking any flavor besides it The general tso combo was served in the same container as the fried rice. It was soggy, mild, and unflavorable. The fried rice was on par with other establishments The aesthetic of the resteranunt was lacking, would not recommend eating in
I'm actually not too crazy about this food. I've tried to give it a chance multiple times but I think it just comes down to personal preference. I usually get chicken fingers (think sweet and sour chicken without the sauce), and every time the batter tastes a little funky and isn't crispy. Then again I am really picky. This place is open on Mondays though when United China down the street isn't open.
I ordered the boneless spare rib tips, and they were sweet, not smoky like you usually find at a Chinese restaurant. The wings were overly salty, and the egg rolls tasted like they had been made last week. I would have chosen SuN SuN in South Windsor, but I was stuck at home with my kids. The only thing we enjoyed was the house fried rice, but honestly, that was a big waste of money.
Food tastes very fresh compared to other Chinese take out restaurants. Kitchen is very clean and lunch specials are some of the best in town. Fried rice is hit or miss, but tastes much healthier than the average take out.
