We stayed for one night. The setting and view are stunning. Wine list is excellent, offering bottles from a wide range of nearby producers from a good range of vintages. Dinner was good, and featured a couple of excellent dishes (a main course of various cuts of excellent lamb with aligot, a dessert based around vegetable granita and white chocolate mousse). Other dishes were good to excellent. The breadth of skills shown was perhaps a little narrower than the extreme high levels we found at a couple of other places in the region, but this is reflected in the price (and this would be a strong best restaurant in the area elsewhere). Visited Jaglhof for lunch and decided on the 7 course tasting menu with wines for each course. Spent a wonderful Saturday afternoon enjoying outstanding food with sunshine and calming views over the surrounding hills and vineyards. If you are visiting this region, this is an experience not to be missed. Very memorable.
Excellent dinner, from authentic Styrian dishes to local seafood sashimi. Styrian Beef or Iberico Pork, everything tasted amazing. Wine list offered lots of local wineries, but also gives you the option to choose from wines all over the world. We will come back!
