I had another review up where I gave Jake's 5 stars, but complained about the wait. I'm writing this new one to just say, Jake's is the absolute most consistent dining experience I know of, while always managing to have a home cooked quality that most noticeably consistent places lack. They have a fully excellent staff and their food and coziness are unrivaled anywhere nearby. It is literally always worth the wait. If there is a wait, you'll have forgotten it completely before you finish eating.
There are very few that can compare to Jakes. The absolute best breakfast with fun and adventurous dishes. Customer service is always on point My only suggestion would be better tasting drip coffee. Maybe give those new roasters out of Springfield a chance

Jake’s is my favorite!! Alexis was my server and she was AMAZING! She answered all of my questions about the menu and provided excellent, fast service. I will definitively come back to see her
