This is AWESOME. We entered the facility at 9:30 and the atmosphere was pleasantly electric; yet it still felt very family-friendly. The staff was very attentive to our needs, and perhaps I would say that they were very good in terms of catering for a customer. The menu in La Jalea was totally welcoming, and the actual food served was delicious. You can taste the freshness of seafood they serve. I Myself had the Jalea, the more of a family-style appetizer it is a true crowd gift, consisting of wonderfully spiced strips of deep fried fresh corvina a large white meat fish), juicy golden fried prawns, crispy on the outside and al dente in the inner fried Calamari, and to my surprise deep fried...
Had mixed ceviche with quinoa on the side, it was deliciously polished the whole thing did not even leave a morsel; disappointed and surprised did not have espresso coffee and Alfajor was not fresh. Service was excellent, Roberto was very courteous, helpful and very attentive. Will definitely return and recommend. Website update with menu and photo a must.
The best Peruvian place on Long Island. I've tried several places, and they've all fallen short, except this place. It is a jewel of authentic Peruvian cuisine
