There are a lot of options on the menu and the portions are huge. This review is meant to be helpful and improve restaurants in our town. The one star reviewer was right and the food was very bland and not very authentic. It was missing spices, garlic,lime and salt. We tried a few of the meals and they were all lacking in flavour. The food here is quite average, much like what you would find at Melaque across town, and it brings to mind various places that have closed in towns such as Bozeman and East Helena. During my last visit, I was unexpectedly charged extra for salsa, which has never happened to me at this restaurant or any other Mexican restaurant I've been to. My usual order of two chicken enchiladas, which usually costs under $13, ended up being over $19 this time. I don’t think I’ll be coming back. For that price, I could go to the next Mexican restaurant on the block and enjoy a better-tasting meal. There's just too much competition for a restaurant to lose regular customers like me.
Upon arriving for dinner, we found the restaurant to be completely empty, which may have been a warning sign. The service, however, was outstanding, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. The establishment itself was also spotless. Unfortunately, the food fell flat; it lacked any flavor at all. Both of our dishes were quite dull, which was the last thing I anticipated from a Mexican restaurant. Maybe it was just an off night, but I doubt I will be coming back.

The food at this restaurant tends to vary in quality. The chimichanga is fantastic, but the tacos leave much to be desired. The rice and beans are quite good, although the salsa could use some improvement. The ice cream ball is delicious, but the cheese crisp doesn't quite hit the mark. I could be wrong, but I feel that $7 for a single taco is pretty steep, especially since it wasn't very satisfying. On a positive note, they do provide online ordering.
This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we had a fantastic experience. The service was outstanding, and the tacos were delicious! My wife ordered four small grilled chicken tacos, while I chose three larger carnitas tacos that I really loved. The chips and salsa were great as well. We will definitely come back to try more items from the menu.
I always have a great experience with both the food and service here. It can get pretty busy, but we usually get seated quickly. I've been there at least ten times and have left feeling happy and satisfied every time. If you like Melaque, you're probably going to enjoy Jalisco as well.
Visiting from Phoenix, AZ ... Wish I could take the cook, our waiter and the food back to Arizona with me.Our waiter and our meals was EXCELLENT!
