I discovered Jamey?s House of Music when I bought tickets to an event earlier this year. I can say with some degree of certainty that the moment I stepped foot in the place that I had stumbled onto something truly unique and wonderful. Reminded me of some of the Chicago blues bars that I love but here it was tucked away in a sleepy little borough on the edge of Philly. The place is cozy and warm. Features a bar and a wonderful menu. The place is also spotless unlike some of those Chicago Blues bars that I love. The room features amazing sound thanks to Jamey. (yes there is a Jamey and he is on premises mixing the sound) Clearly music is his passion as he hosts and plays at the Sunday Blues B...
I came here to see my favorite musicians, Last Chance, and was blown away from the venue. Intimate, professional and well managed. The sound system is amazing. Last chance the house had packed and had a wonderful set. The opening act was fantastic. The food service bounced overcrowded tables did not hinder waiters much, although I noticed that the food for a nearby group took much longer than I would have wished. My dish was delicious, chicken fried rice and pot stickers. BYOB, easy to find from the street and easy to park.
The music was enjoyable and the atmosphere cozy. I ordered a shrimp dish that had an elaborate description, but it turned out to be soggy rice with shrimp and broccoli—basically just shrimp and broccoli, and overpriced at $20. I might consider returning, but I’m still undecided.
Jamey's House Of Music is a cozy spot with a modest food and drink menu. Despite the limited options, I would return if I wanted to see a specific performer. Parking is convenient, located directly across the street. The staff were friendly, though understandably busy.

Not enough space to tell you how fabulous this place is – music, people, food, on-tape beer, and the staff are all top drawers! The prices are fantastic! The photos are shrimps over geese and a fabulous vegan burger with vegan bacon!
I had the opportunity to visit this place while my husband was playing in the band for a jazz artist. The atmosphere is relaxing and the food is scrumptious… especially the ribs!!!
Charming little venue known for its excellent acoustics and impressive track record of hosting national acts. The food and drinks are also quite good.
This place is amazing, great atmosphere, great food and great musicians. The place is small and intimate, bur when the musicians start, it's rockin.
